Please Pray For The Restoration Of Those Effected By Hurricane Irma
September 12, 2017
We Thank you all for praying for the protection and safety of our ministry workers, partners and friends in Cuba and The Bahamas. Hurricane Irma did come close to The Bahamas and they experienced some high winds and minor damages. We praise God that our friends in Nassau, Eleuthera, Abaco and Freeport are all safe. However, Cuba did not fare so well and experienced a devastating blow.
Hurricane Irma battered Cuba with a direct hit as a Category 5. We are still waiting to hear from our Ministry Directors in Cuba. We have received an e-mail from a ministry worker asking for much prayers. He stated that, " There is no electricity, severe damage to houses, limited access to clean drinking water and much flooding. Things are very challenging right now. But we will Trust in the Lord and Praise the name of Jesus." How encouraging it is to see a brother in Christ Trusting the Lord and Praising God in the midst of such trials and destruction. Please continue to pray for our ministry workers and deaf community as they begin to rebuild and recover.
We also learned that the New Ministry house/Central Mission Office in El Cristo served as a shelter for the deaf in that area. We praise God for using this new house to be a blessing in their time of need.
After researching the costs of sending a team to Cuba we have realized that it would be more cost effective for us to send funds directly to Cuba. We are collecting special funds to send to those in need of disaster relief in Cuba. If you would like to make a donation please send your check to the ICCD Office (P.O. Box 540, Cloverdale,VA 24077) with Cuba Hurricane Relief in the Memo Line. Your generous gifts will be used to provide clean water, food, and temporary shelter for our ministry workers and deaf community. We pray that you will prayerfully consider giving a special gift to help those in need in Cuba.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support. We truly appreciate your partnership in helping us to Reach the Deaf for Christ.
