WHY

THE

DEAF

The  Deaf are often invisible, neglected, rejected and abused in their own homes and villages.

There are millions of Deaf who live in developing countries with no opportunity for education.  They can’t read and do not have any language beyond invented gestures to survive at home.  Parents believe their deaf child is incapable of becoming anything of value.  The Deaf are often invisible, neglected, rejected and abused in their own homes and villages.  Most importantly, it is impossible for them to hear of the love of Jesus Christ.

As a Deaf person, my family and I had no hope; no job, no education, no future. Because of ICCD, I now have all these things plus faith in Christ Jesus."

had been locked in my house for the last 12 years, my mother ran off with another man taking my brothers and sisters with her. My father took good care of me until he died unexpectedly.

Quickly the food ran out, the electricity was switched off and clean drinking water disappeared.  I thank God for ICCD who found me and gave me all the essentials of life and shared Jesus with me.  I had nothing, but now I have everything!"
